Wax melts can be made out of a variety of different waxes, with each of them having different performance properties.
I only use 100% soy wax for all of Melt my Heart's wax melts range.
When starting Melt my Heart, I did a lot of research into making melts and I tried and tested 100's of different wax types before choosing the one that I make our wax melts out of and have used for early 5 years!
Soy is a natural product and made from the oil of the soy beans. These are processed and manufactured before they're pressed to extract the oil. A process called hydrogenation happens next which changes fatty acids from unsaturated to saturated, altering the melting point, making it solid when cooler, it is then perfect for creating wax melts without the need for paraffin.
Soy wax is made from environmentally friendly, renewable resources; unlike other waxes like the classic paraffin wax is made from petroleum and is non-renewable. Amongst all the great reasons for using soy wax, the wax is a lot slower burning which means your wax melts last longer, and another excellent reason for using soy wax is that it holds fragrance scent and doesn't require added chemical amplifiers.
In this day and age, we need to be more aware of our self-care and wellbeing. Soy Wax Melts are a great way to help you relax and de-stress peacefully in your home. And why I love soy wax so much is because it's natural, biodegradable and a renewable source. Plus, it holds so much fragrance and doesn't let off any toxins while you're using them. Vegan Friendly and Cruelty Free.

How do you get our used wax melts out of your burner or warmer? There are many different wants to do it, but using a knife or any type of cutlery is NOT how you do it! They will damage your burner, scratching the dish and possibly
