It is important to use appropriate wax melt burners when using Melt My Heart Wax Melts.

Ensuring safety is of utmost importance, and it is crucial to never leave the burner unattended. To use our Shimmer Melt Bars or Galaxy Snap Bars, simply break off one or two segments. Alternatively, for smaller burners, select 5-8 Mini Teddy Bears or Dinos. Place the chosen wax pieces in either an Electric Wx Melter or if using a wax burner light a tealight underneath. Use new tealights until the scent is no longer noticeable, typically around 30 hours. Avoid overfilling the wax burner and use only one or two cubes to ensure optimal performance.

The strength of the fragrance will depend on the size and temperature of the room as well as the amount of wax used. For optimal results, keep your windows closed while burning the wax. Once the candle has burned down, wait for it to cool down before removing it from the holder.

Removing used and old wax from your Warmer or Burner is essential. To do so, use a cotton ball or pad soaked in water or alcohol. Never use cleaning wipes or chemicals to clean the burner as they may cause damage or injury. Avoid using metal or sharp objects to clean out the wax as it may crack or damage the burner, or cause injury.

To ensure safety, keep the product away from children. Although some items may look edible, they are not, so do not ingest them.

WHAT ARE WAX MELTS?
Wax melts are small, scented pieces of wax that are designed to be melted in a wax warmer, releasing their fragrance into the surrounding area.

HOW DO I USE WAX MELTS?
To use wax melts, simply place one or two pieces of the wax in a wax warmer or burner. As the wax melts, it will release its fragrance into the air.

HOW LONG DO WAX MELTS LAST?
The length of time that wax melts last will depend on a variety of factors, including the size of the wax melt, the heat of the wax warmer, and the strength of the fragrance. However, on average, one Shimmer Melt Bar will last for approximately 60 to 75 hours.

ARE WAX MELTS SAFE?
As long as they are used according to instructions, wax melts are generally safe to use. However, it is important to never leave a burning wax warmer unattended, to avoid overfilling the wax warmer, and to keep the wax warmer away from anything flammable.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY WAX WARMER OR BURNER?
A: To clean your wax warmer or burner, allow the wax to cool and harden, and then remove it from the warmer. You can then either wipe the inside of the dish with a paper towel or cloth, or use a cotton ball or pad soaked in water or alcohol to remove any remaining wax. CAN I MIX DIFFERENT WAX MELT SCENTS TOGETHER?
Yes, you can mix different scents together to create a custom fragrance. In fact, we encourage it with our Mixology Box. For those who are true mixologists at heart, we offer the option to choose five different scents. These scents come in our Mini Teddy bear shapes, which are perfectly sized for mixing and ideal for your blending needs. Just be sure to use only a few pieces of each scent to avoid overfilling the wax warmer.

CAN I REUSE USED WAX MELTS?
Once a wax melt has lost its fragrance, it cannot be reused. You will need to replace it with a new wax melt.

ARE WAX MELTS ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY?
Melt my Heart's wax melts are environmentally friendly, biodegradable and non toxic. The Glitter we use is made from a regenerated cellulose film that is specially designed to biodegrade. This film is derived from renewable raw materials that are responsibly and sustainably sourced according to FSC® standards. Our colours are created using Mica, which is sourced using ethical, traceable and environmentally friendly processes. All of the ingredients used in the Fragrance Oils we use, and this does include the ones that have an essential oil base and naturally derived ingredients are all distilled and purified to ensure the highest quality is obtained.  They’re also paraffin and alcohol free. Plus not tested on animals.

SHIPPING

Orders will typically leave our studio within 2 to 3 business days from the order date, although in some cases, unforeseen circumstances may cause a delay.

To obtain the most up-to-date information on estimated dispatch dates, please refer to the product pages, which we regularly update. If you are purchasing a gift or require the order by a specific date, we recommend checking the estimated dispatch date before placing your order.

We ship twice a day, Monday to Friday. Our courier packages are collected from our studio at 7:30 am and 4:30 pm on the same day. Once your order has been booked onto the courier, we will promptly send you a tracking number via email. While we will typically use NZ Post to ship all orders, we reserve the right to use any carrier.

Upon booking your order, we will send you a shipping confirmation email, which will include tracking information. We will also forward any delivery messages we receive to the courier driver via the delivery notes. Please note that we cannot guarantee that the drivers will act on written requests, as we do not have control over their actions.

In addition, please note that rural deliveries may take longer to be delivered, typically adding an extra 1-2 days to the delivery time frame. As such, we recommend allowing for additional time when placing orders to rural addresses.

Please ensure that you carefully check your shipping address when placing your order, as orders are printed and sent using the details that the customer has entered. If you notice any errors in your shipping address, please contact us as soon as possible to make corrections before your order is shipped.

RETURNS/REFUNDS

At Melt my Heart, we take pride in producing handcrafted products that are unique and may have slight variations between batches and individual items.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may be eligible for a refund if the product is returned within 14 days of receiving your order. To qualify for a refund, the item must be in new and unused condition, with all original packaging and labels attached.

Please note that if you are returning the product due to a change of mind, such as not liking the scents you have chosen, the return postage costs will be your responsibility. However, if the items are defective, such as a lack of scent on inspection or due to breakage during transit, we will refund the return postage costs.

We want you to be aware that a minority of people may be less susceptible to some scents, and we cannot guarantee that all scents will suit everyone.

If you are eligible for a refund, you may choose to receive a refund to your original payment method or a store credit can be issued. Please let us know your preference when you initiate the return process.

To be eligible for a refund or store credit, the product needs to be returned within 14 days of your receiving your order.
